Improved Search & Discovery

A quick look at our upcoming improvements to Search & Discovery on Glass. Glimpse into Glass

Now that Glass for Android has launched, we've turned our focus towards improving Search & Discovery on Glass. As we get closer to the launch of the feature, we wanted to give you a quick preview of what's coming.

You'll see a few new additions to the Community tab — Cameras & Lenses. You'll also be able to dive directly in from the photo detail page.

Cameras

The best camera is the one that you have with you. But that doesn't mean that we don't play favorites. For example, chances are if you're using a Fujifilm X100S/T/V, we're gonna love your photos. Now you'll be able to explore every photo taken by a camera on Glass. Yes, even the iPhone 3G or HelloKitty! Instax.

Trying to hold off upgrading to a new camera? Do not — we repeat, do not — use this feature.

Lenses

Being able to explore the Lenses on Glass is a special treat. Great for researching a new purchase or trying to find specific inspiration based on the lens you'll be using, this feature provides so much useful information.

Coming Soon

We're getting close to being able to ship this — hopefully it'll come in time as a nice holiday gift. Want to see it, briefly, in action? Daniel showed Sam a camera feed at the end of the Q&A we did last week.

Next year, we've got quite the slate of additions coming to Glass. Want to know what's coming or missing something specific? Head to our feedback board.
